The Impact of Competency on Employee Performance at the Tebing Tinggi City Social Service

This study aims to determine the influence of competence on employee performance at the Tebing Tinggi City Social Service. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method, and a sample of 39 employees through a total sampling technique. Data collection was carried out by Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of the study showed that competence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as shown by a significance value of 0.004 < 0.05. This means that increasing competence in terms of knowledge, skills, and work attitudes will contribute to improving the quality of employee performance in providing social services to the community.
