Abstract

This service aims to provide TEYL (Teaching English For Young Learners) training using the TPR (total physical response) method to improve the ability to teach English to teachers at the Cahaya Mentari Foundation, Truwolu village, Ngaringan district, Grobogan district. The training was carried out for 2 days which was attended by teachers at the Cahaya Mentari Foundation. On the first day, the trainees were given a pretest to find out their initial knowledge followed by providing material about TEYL and TPR. The response of the participants was very good and they looked enthusiastic in participating in the training. On the second day, mentoring was carried out to the teachers in the classroom. However, they still look a bit rigid in implementing TPR. The training ended with the giving of a post test and the results showed that the teachers already had a better understanding of TEYL and TPR.
