Abstract

Pakpak Bharat is one of the districts in North Sumatra Province where the majority of the population works as farmers. The leading commodity from the agricultural sector is corn. To overcome these obstacles, the PKM team together with farmer group partners Suruhen Simpogos offered a solution in the form of a corn shelling machine with an automatic system. The methods used are the preparation stage, implementation stage, result stage and evaluation stage. The result of the stages is that the results of corn shelling can produce 420 Kg/hour, and the waste from shelling can be used as an additional animal feed. So that this PKM activity can be concluded that the problems that occur in the Suruhen Simpogos Farmer Group can be solved by using corn shelling machines, the Suruhen Simpogos Farmer Group can shell corn to 420 kg/hour with the use of a shelling machine, and the Suruhen Simpogos Farmers Group can produce additional feed from the waste from corn shelling in the form of corn cobs that have been destroyed.
