Anemia Screening, Education, and Distribution of Iron Tablets (IT) to Residents of Ansudu II Village, East Coast District, Sarmi Regency

Abstract

This community service program aims to detect anemia. The activities involved screening residents of Kampung Ansudu II using rapid diagnostic tests and administering iron tablets. The screening activity was carried out by actively going directly to the field. The results of the service found that 12 (14.8%) residents were detected with anemia, with the highest age group suffering from anemia being those aged >=20 years, numbering 4 (21.1%),  1 male (16.7%), 10 Papuan ethnic group (21.3%), 12 who had started menstruating (15.6%), and 10 who had been menstruating for more than 2 years (15.9%).
