Abstract

The number of conflicting marriages that end in divorce is a phenomenon that is often encountered in modern life today. This is due to the amount of inappropriate information in society. A correct understanding of the role of husband and wife according to the Bible is necessary to have a solid marriage in the Christian faith. This understanding of the role of husband and wife is the basis emphasized by the Congregational Pastor at the Bethel Tabernacle Church of Christ the King of Peace (GBT KRD) in Surabaya to prospective married couples. by participating in premarital counseling before entering into the marriage blessing. Understanding the roles of husband and wife will greatly determine success in marriage. By doing the right role, husband and wife can have a solid marriage. So God's purpose to reflect Christ's relationship with his church on earth is achieved through marriage.
