Abstract

The Damang Saiyo Farmers Group is one of the active farming groups in Kenagarian Batu Balang, Harau District, Limapuluh Kota Regency. Group members consist of women and men. The group's daily activities are mostly engaged in agriculture. However, some members have livestock, namely cows and goats. The problem in raising livestock is slow livestock growth and low livestock productivity. This is because feeding only relies on forage, without giving concentrates. Forage is very easy to obtain in the environment and does not cost money, as well as farmers' lack of knowledge about concentrates and livestock needs for adequate nutrition. For this reason, community service activities are carried out in the form of education about concentrates and nutritional adequacy of livestock as well as the practice of making pellets for ruminant livestock (cows and goats).
