Abstract

The life of prayer is an inseparable part of the life of every believer. However, in reality, there are still many church members who are not aware of the importance of prayer life for each of their individuals and have a simple understanding. On the basis of the above understanding, the author pioneered a prayer camp under the auspices of the CMC House of Joy church with the aim of building a soul-oriented prayer life, building a congregation that grows in Christ, equipping the congregation to evangelize souls, and fulfilling the call of the Great Commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. The methods used are Qualitative Descriptive, Literature Study, and Participant Observation. From the research, results were found regarding the importance of the link between prayer, church planting, growing churches, and evangelism. The Community Service activities carried out include Prayer Camps, Contextual Evangelism Learning, and Komsel Visits. In conclusion, there is a close relationship between prayer and the growth of the church. The activities carried out were quite satisfactory even though further efforts were needed to mobilize each member of the Prayer Camp to carry out a mission.
